Dinner at the Pool Terrace
The lush green terraced gardens, the blazing mashals (fire-torches) in the evening sky and the vibrant blue of the swimming pool combine to create an absolutely magical ambience at the The Oberoi Amarvilas pool terrace. Guest may choose from a selection of specially prepared Pan-Asian or Continental cuisine buffet menus, or from a selection of traditional Mughal menus specially designed for you, showcasing cuisine ranging from the richly spiced dishes of lamb and chicken to the delectable kebabs and vegetable preparations of the Mughal kitchens of yore.
A bar can be provided on request for cocktails to be followed by dinner. Entertainment can be arranged at the mashal-lit stage across the pool.
The set-up will be arranged on the pool terrace overlooking the swimming pool and can accommodate up to 80 persons with a buffet or sit down table arrangement.
The Traditional Amarvilas Mughal Dinner
The Mughal dynasty knew how to enjoy elegant dining in the spectacular settings of their forts and palaces. At The Oberoi Amarvilas experience a glimpse of their lifestyle through the grandeur of this traditional Mughal-theme evening in an equally memorable setting. The meticulous planning and preparation is reflected in the tables and chairs all draped in richly embroidered fabric. The soft sounds of the water fountains, the subtle yet elegant lighting, the sultry melodies of live Indian classical music and the attentive service make a traditional Mughal dinner at The Oberoi Amarvilas a truly unforgettable experience.
Guest can choose from a selection of traditional Mughal dishes such as Bhunney Murgh Ke Parchey, Gilafi Kebab, Esphahani Raan, Toofan-e-zameen, Lagan ki boti, Machhi ka soola, Kachhe Gosht ki Biryani, Nahari and Kundan Murgh - all elaborately prepared and presented in perfect harmony.
A bar can be provided on request for cocktails to be followed by dinner.
The recommended entertainment for the evening would be a performance of Kathak dance, which was the royal dance of the Mughal courts.
The Traditional Amarvilas Mughal Dinner set-up will be arranged on the pool terrace overlooking the swimming pool and is ideal for a group of 30-40 persons.
The Formal Black-Tie Dinner (Sit-down)
This grand banquet with a formal sit down table arrangement can be arranged in either The Ballroom (Roshanara & Jahanara halls) or the Banquet Terrace. The rich yet elegant hues of gleaming silver and crystal tableware and the soft light of candles illuminating islands of elegance on each table combine with the unobtrusive yet attentive service to make a formal dinner at The Oberoi Amarvilas the experience of a lifetime.
Our experienced food & beverage team shall help you design your own three or five-course table-de-hote menu with option to choose from a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world.
Pre-dinner cocktails can also be arranged on request at the colonnade area.
Entertainment options and live performance can be arranged.
