Vidhan Soudha
(Distance from the hotel is 3.5 Kms. / 10 minutes) Vidhan Soudha, built in the year 1954 is one of the major centres of attraction in Bangalore. The architecture of the building is based on the neo Dravidian style and it presently houses the Legislative Assembly of the state of Karnataka. The building also houses a part of the Karnataka secretariat. Illuminated on Sundays and holidays at 1900 hrs.
Cubbon Park

Bull Temple
(Distance from the hotel is 9 Kms. / 30 minutes) The Bull Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva/’s Vahana (vehicle), Nandi the bull. Here you can find a huge monolithic statue of the sitting bull that draws a large number of people to this place every day. The statue is 4.5 meters tall and 6 meters long and has been at this place long before the present temple was built. The temple is about 500 years old.

History
Bangalore was founded in the 16th century by Kempegowda, a chieftain of the Vijayanagar Empire. Two centuries later it became an important fortress under the reign of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan (although today nothing remains of the old fort, apart from the Lalbagh Gardens).
In the late 19th century Bangalore became a British military base - which it continued to be right up until 1947. In the 1930s it went through an important era of town planning, when many of its beautiful tree-lined roads and parks were laid out. In the 1980s the city became a focal point of Indian business, with many of India's leading corporations setting up their bases here.
