Spirit of the Pharaoh 4 1/2 hour

The ultimate royal experience of pampering, this ritual takes you on a journey of complete transformation. We treat you with the essence of an Arabian coffee scrub to stimulate your senses. Enjoy the benefits of a toning and hydrating vanilla bean body envelopment followed by a purifying facial, leaving your skin incredibly smooth and radiant. Complete your spa ritual with an amazing spa pedicure leaving you revived and rejuvenated from head to toe.

Red Sea Discovery 2 1/2 hour
(Mineral sea salt scrub, Hot lava shell massage, Soothing facial)

Your ritual begins with a full body exfoliation using purifying sea salt from the Red Sea to smooth and soften your skin. A relaxing massage with the warmth of smooth shells which are heated from the inside. Their seamless glide over your body creates a synergy of warmth and deep relaxation. A soothing facial completes this discovery, leaving your skin hydrated whilst calming your spirit.

Asian Retreat 3 hour
(Thai massage, Tibetan singing bowl therapy, padabhyanga)

Thai massage is an ancient and sacred system of healing practices which combines rhythmic massage, acupressure and gentle twisting to stimulate and balance the energy flow. Your ritual is followed by the Tibetan singing bowl therapy which includes a unique combination of a warm herbal poultice. You will enjoy the benefits of the heat as your chakra energy centres are balanced and enhanced through the resonating sound and vibrations of Tibetan sacred singing bowls. Your journey concludes with an Indian foot massage, otherwise known as padabhyanga focusing on the marma points of the feet and lower legs to promote deep relaxation and energy flow to boost your immunity and calm your entire body.

Your therapist provides you with a combination of rhythmic soothing strokes applying medium pressure, excellent for releasing muscular knots, increasing circulation and removing daily stress and tension from the body. Customised to fit your specific needs.

Balinese Treatment 60 / 90 minutes

This luxurious spa therapy which evolved on the island of Bali is a deep pressure massage using a variety of techniques including skin rolling, deep tissue manipulation, gentle stretching and reflexology. This massage has a cleansing effect on mind and body, leaving you refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated.

Thai Massage 60 / 90 minutes

This therapy is an ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurveda and Buddhist spiritual practices. It is a combination of rhythmic massage, acupressure and gentle twisting to stimulate and balance the flow of healing energy providing you with a powerful release of stress and tension. You are provided with loose comfortable clothing for this oil free therapy.

After Sun Therapy 60 / 90 minutes

A gentle and soothing therapy after a long day in the sun. Aloe gel, known for its regenerative properties, is used to aid in the healing process and to provide immediate relief for sun burnt skin.

Couples Massage 90 minutes

Magnificent massage suites filled with soothing music and blissful aromas are the perfect setting to share a spa experience with a friend or loved one. Beginning with a massage of your choice, this wonderful experience promotes bonding and togetherness in a unique setting. Your therapy concludes with an aromatic bathing ritual as you sip on our signature tea blend.

Couples Massage Lesson 90 minutes

Enhance your intimacy by learning how to massage your loved one. A perfect way for you and your partner to learn the art of massage and refresh the bonds of devotion. Your therapist will show you various techniques on the back and feet. You and your partner will then spend 30 minutes each practicing on one another under the guidance of your therapist. The couples massage lesson is designed to be insightful, relaxing and pleasurable.

Revitalising Body Therapies

Arabian Coffee Scrub 30 minutes

This anti-oxidant and anti-cellulite scrub using fine coffee grains combined with moisturizing agents removes impurities while providing nourishment to your skin. The stimulation from the coffee is reputed to aid in the dual effect of elimination of toxins and hydrating your skin.

Detoxifirming Body Therapy 90 minutes

This calming mind and body experience begins with a thorough exfoliation of the body using a blend of sea salt and Hungarian moor mud to detoxify your skin. Your therapy concludes with a healing crystal stone massage using firming body oil with plum, sage and geranium leaving your skin silky smooth as your spirit is renewed.

Citrus Body Envelopment 90 minutes

This anti-oxidant, detoxifying and anti-ageing body wrap repairs, tones and tightens your skin. Your therapy begins with a full body citrus exfoliation to cleanse and prepare your skin to benefit from the antioxidants citrus has to offer. You are then wrapped in a fragrant blend of honey and orange masque to infuse vitamins and hydration. While your body luxuriates, your therapist provides a face, scalp and neck massage. This therapy concludes with an aromatic citrus body mist, leaving you with a clear skin texture and natural glow.

Citrus exfoliation 30 minutes

An excellent moisturising and cleansing exfoliating treatment consisting of a combination of Red Sea salts and sweet orange. This therapy infuses vitamin C, leaving your skin supple and nourished.

Contouring Body Therapy 60 minutes

Targeted for skin-tone trouble spots or cellulite, this therapy begins with a vigorous yet gentle brushing of the body and a detoxifying exfoliation using sea salt and mineral-rich Hungarian thermal mud. Dimple vanisher is then massaged into your freshly brushed and buffed skin. The finishing touch is a light lymphatic drainage massage to accelerate the body’s micro-circulation and the appearance of cellulite is reduced.

For sensitive skin in need of special attention, gentle products are used to cleanse and exfoliate. A unique Hungarian facial massage stimulates micro-circulation whilst relieving tension. A nourishing organic poultice supplies ample nourishment and moisture, leaving the skin glowing with new found health.

Purifying 60 minutes

Mineral-rich Hungarian moor mud draws out impurities and nourishes the skin. The application of the mud mask follows a thorough cleansing and exfoliation using rosemary and pineapple extracts to refine your pores. This facial is certain to revitalise all skin types.

Brightening 75 minutes

Facial 60 minutes

This deep cleansing, therapeutic facial for men is designed to cater to your specific skin care needs such as razor burn and skin sensitivity. This therapy includes a de-stressing facial massage and a mask of Hungarian moor mud to refine the pores. Our expert therapists will then perform a scalp and shoulder massage to relieve tension and rejuvenate your senses.

Pharaohs Massage 60 minutes

This powerful full body massage is designed to relieve aching muscles and joints after periods of physical stress and strain. Using a double layer of aromatherapy oils that will soothe away any muscular discomfort, your therapist will apply advanced deep tissue techniques to ensure effective absorption.

Back Therapy 60 minutes

Created especially for men, this therapy begins with a deep cleansing exfoliation and hot compress followed by a warm thermal mud mask to draw out impurities. Your therapy concludes with a soothing back massage leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed.

Manicure 30 minutes

A gentleman’s manicure with special attention to the distinct needs of men’s hands. Includes nail buffing.

Sports Pedicure 30 minutes

This aroma therapeutic ritual soothes and hydrates your feet. Beginning with a relaxing therapeutic soak, followed by a warm mineral scrub to exfoliate and smooth the skin. Your therapy is finished with a moisturizing foot massage, nail grooming and buff of the nails.

AYURVEDIC Therapies

Ayurveda is a holistic system of healing which evolved among the sages of ancient India over 5000 years ago. At the Oberoi spa, our therapists help determine your body type or ‘dosha’ and recommend the appropriate therapy and oils. This ancient science focuses on establishing and maintaining the balance of energies within us, promoting harmony between the individual and nature which in turn detoxifies the body and promotes good health.

Ayurvedic Traditional Massage 75 minutes

A traditional Indian massage applying a combination of soothing and symmetrical long strokes to regulate the circulatory and nervous system of the body. The warm herbal medicinal oil chosen according to your body type balances the doshos and leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. A steam bath is recommended following this massage.

Padabhyanga 60 minutes

This Ayurvedic reflexology therapy is an ancient massage for the soul which focuses on the marma points of the feet and lower legs. Padabhyanga promotes quality sleep, increases circulation and energy flow to boost immunity, rejuvenating your entire body. This therapy incorporates the use of a kasa bowl which is warmed in oil resulting in a more effective therapy as the metal interacts with the energy force of the body.

Hot Herbal Poultice Therapy 60 minutes

This therapeutic massage begins with an application of warm oil specific to your dosha. A warm herbal fomentation is applied to relax the muscles while stimulating blood circulation and energy flow. The effect of heat and herbs helps to reduce aches and pains, increase lymphatic drainage and condition the skin leaving you refreshed and relaxed.

Shiroabhyanga 45 minutes

Using Ayurvedic oils, vital points of the shoulder, neck, head and face are massaged to relax tight muscles and improve blood circulation. With a special focus on ‘Marma’ points around the head, you will feel an immense calming and balancing effect on the nervous system and throughout the body. This therapy concludes with an application of warm aromatic towels leaving you totally relaxed.

Facilities

The spa comprises of one double spa therapy suite with a private steam bath, four single therapy rooms, hair salon, steam bath exclusively for our lady guests and separate saunas for ladies and gentlemen.

For the complete spa experience

To ensure your spa experience is a relaxing journey into a different world, we recommend the following:

Schedule your therapy 24 hours in advance in order to ensure availability Consult our therapists who will be pleased to advise you on a therapy that suits your individual needs. Cellular phones and electronic devices must be switched off. Enjoy a relaxing shower before your therapy.

Arrive at the spa reception 30 minutes prior to your therapy in order to change and prepare yourself. Gentlemen who are having a facial are advised to shave at least 3 hours before their therapy. Schedule your therapy at a time when you will be able to relax for at least one hour after the therapy. Guests with high blood pressure, heart condition or other medical complications and ladies who are pregnant should consult their doctor before scheduling an appointment for spa therapies.

Home spa - Most of the body and skin care products that we use in our therapies are available for purchase. We encourage you to ask your therapist how to use these products to continue your spa experience at home.

Reservations and Cancellations

All spa therapies and treatments may be scheduled by calling the spa at extension 1521 or pressing the ‘Spa’ button on your guest room phone. We understand that unavoidable circumstances may arise and cancelling your appointment might be necessary. If you find yourself unable to keep your appointment, please contact the spa within a 4 hour time frame prior to your appointment to avoid the full charge of your service.
