For 4,000 years, the indigenous Bedouin tribes of the UAE practiced falconry as a form of hunting in the stark desert landscape. Nowadays, falconry is one of the UAE’s time-honored sports; providing a proud link to a heritage of courage and skill. You are welcome to witness Nina the falcon at work at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah. Angus visits thrice weekly to make sure smaller birds do not mistake our resort for a nesting ground, but keep their roosts within the nearby bird sanctuary. A falconry experience is imbibed with the mystery of the desert. An example of patience and fortitude, willpower and companionship.
