  • Get to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road Rd/E311 from Airport Rd/Khwaneej St/D89
  • Drive north on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road Rd/E311, take exit 71 from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road Rd/E311 towards Wasit Road/Ajman/Al Etihad Road/E11
  • Get on Al Ittihad St/E11, merge onto Al Ittihad St/E11, drive to your destination, at the roundabout take the third exit
  • After Al Zorah Gate please drive straight, at the roundabout take the right and from the second roundabout drive straight

  • Head north. After 92 metres turn left to Saif Al Hamran Street. After 74m turn right
  • Drive along Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Keep left for 550 metres. Continue straight and take a slight right. After 200 metres turn left onto E11 Al Ittihad Road to Al Zorah - Al Jurf
  • Drive on E11 for 4 kms. At the roundabout take the third exit towards Al Zorah. Drive on for 3 kms. At the roundabout take a right
  • The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah will be straight ahead

Visas

Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in the UAE and visitors must have a return ticket.

Currency

There are many international ATMs in the UAE. International credit cards are also accepted.

Recommended clothing.

We recommend you wear loose clothing that covers the shoulders and knees and is made from natural fabrics that will be comfortable in the hot weather. It is advisable to carry a hat at all times.

Language.

Arabic is the official language of the UAE, yet English is widely spoken. A lot of people also speak multiple languages.

Customs allowances.
Currency

Visitors are permitted to carry bank notes up to AED 100,000 into the UAE without making a customs declaration. Values exceeding this must be declared to customs and may be subject to import duty.

Duty free goods
Duty free allowances per person (over the age of 18) are as follows:

  • Alcohol: 4 litres or 24 cans of beer.
  • Cigarettes: 400 pieces
  • Cigars: to the value of AED 3,000
  • Tobacco: 2 kg

Gifts (including perfume) to the value of AED 3,000

Visitors are allowed to carry cameras, video cameras, radio cassettes, binoculars, laptops or mobile phones, provided they:

  • Do not exceed the personal goods allowance that entitles visitors to carry items up to the value of USD 250 per person (or USD 1,000 for a family of four);
  • Will only be used for tourism purposes in UAE, and;
  • Will be carried out of the country upon departure.

Customs duty is leviable at variable rates, up to 40%, upon the value of dutiable goods in excess of allowances.

Restricted items
The following items are prohibited in the UAE:

  • Firearms;
  • Religious propaganda;
  • Potentially offensive printed materials.

The UAE has a zero tolerance drugs policy. Please contact your nearest UAE embassy or consulate for advice if you need to bring medications or other drugs into the country.
