This tranquil hill station was a favourite of the Viceroy Lord Curzon, who not only designed India’s first 9-hole golf course here, but also named his third daughter Alexandra Naldehra after it. Nowadays, Naldehra, at 2,195 metres altitude, boasts a challenging golf course that is rated amongst the best in the country. For those more interested in trekking, Naldehra is also home to Shaily Peak, whose hiking trail runs a steep 8 kms to the summit for beautiful views.
