Lapis Opens Its Doors For Guests At The Oberoi, Bengaluru

The Oberoi Group has announced the return of Le Jardin—the main restaurant at The Oberoi, Bengaluru, in a fresh modern avatar! Lapis, the new all-day restaurant, is all set to plate delicious global cuisine at an elegant setting.

Deriving its name from Lapis Lazuli—a gemstone that is prized for its celestial blue colour, Lapis at The Oberoi, Bengaluru is ready to cook up a storm for its guests. With the same rich hue running through its ceiling and flowing down through three stunning gold-veined pillars, the all-day global-cuisine restaurant makes a chic and elegant dining space.

The restaurant’s design creates a sense of fluidity in its ambience, embodying the spirit of nature—warm, open, and inviting. With a seating space of 108, Lapis is complete with two outdoor dining areas, including an open-air patio set next to a serene water body and a wooden deck with lush lawns running around to it.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant is bringing to the table modern multi-cuisine recipes prepared with high-quality ingredients. Arrive here for a lunch buffet and gorge on the wood-fired thin-crust pizzas, flat-breads, Stromboli rolls, and Chicago-style deep dish pizzas being served for the very first time in the city. The extensive a la carte dinner menu here offers popular Indian dishes and creative interpretations of regional specialties including salads, small plates, home-made pastas, and a variety of grilled meats from Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland—all curated by chefs Hitesh Pant and Robin Batra.

“Lapis has been envisioned as a contemporary restaurant that celebrates the hotel’s beautiful gardens and Bengaluru’s lovely weather. We have created a distinctive dining space that is truly evolutionary and makes every guest feel like they’re sitting in the midst of a charming woodland,” said Visheshwar Raj Singh, Vice President & General Manager, The Oberoi, Bengaluru, on the occasion of the launch of Lapis.

Adding to this, Robin Batra, Executive Chef of the hotel said, “We have paid special attention to the curation of our menu which not only encompasses dishes from across the world, but also celebrates the rich culinary traditions of India. The well-researched recipes balance authentic elements with modern flavours to cater to well-travelled and discerning diners. Apart from importing the finest ingredients, we have also consciously chosen to source high quality indigenous produce that are known for their nutritional goodness.”

Lapis, with its delicious offerings paired with an open design that connects the restaurant with its lush surroundings, and the legendary Oberoi service, definitely makes The Oberoi, Bengaluru a front-runner when it comes to hotels curating exceptional culinary experiences for the discerning diners in the city.
