Narkanda is perched at 2,469 metres above sea level on what used to be known as the Hindustan-Tibet highway and is surrounded by the Shivalik Ranges. During the summer months, Narkanda is the perfect base to hike to Hatu peak (approximately one hour on foot) for panoramic mountain views from its hilltop temple.
