Bengaluru is known for its year-round temperate climate.

Winter lasts from November to January, during which time the temperatures are a pleasant 72-81 °F (22-27 °C).

Summers last from April to June, at which time temperatures can reach 88°F to 97 °F (31-36°C). The monsoon rains happen from July until October, with the highest average rainfall of 241 millimetres falling in September.

Autumn (September to November) temperatures range between 72 °F and 88 °F (22°C and 31°C), while spring (February to March) temperatures are from 79 °F to 90 °F (26°C to 32°C).

In Bengaluru, rainfall can happen throughout the year. As soon as temperatures rise, there is a tendency towards light rainfall, which lowers the temperature and makes it feel more pleasant again.


If you are travelling to Bengaluru during the summer months, we recommend you wear loose clothing made from natural fabrics. During the winter months, you may wish to carry a sweater or shawl for the evenings.
