Distance: 12 km
Driving Time: 30 - 40 minutes

  • Leave the airport and head south-west on Indira Gandhi International T3 Road
  • Continue onto T3 Arrival Road for 1.3 km
  • Use one of the two lanes on the right to turn right towards IGI Road/Northern Access Road
  • Turn left onto IGI Airport T3 Road
  • Continue straight on IGI Airport T3 Road for 1.2 km
  • Keep right, staying on IGI Airport T3 Road
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rangpuri
  • Take a slight right and road will merge on to the National Highway 48
  • Continue on the NH48 for 4 km
  • Take the slip road heading towards Ambience Mall
  • Turn right under the flyover, towards Udyog Vihar onto Shankar Chowk. Now you will be heading back towards Delhi
  • Turn left towards Udyog Vihar Phase V
  • The Oberoi, Gurgaon will be on the left

  • Turn left towards Terminal 1C Arrival Road

  • Continue onto Terminal 1 Road/Ullan Batar Marg
  • Continue onto Indira Gandhi Road/Rao Tularam Marg
  • Slight right onto Indira Gandhi Road
  • Turn right towards the NH48
  • Use any lane to take the slip road onto the NH48
  • Merge onto the NH48, take the exit
  • Take a sharp right after Pillar Number LP17U (on the right)
  • Turn left towards Udyog Vihar Phase V
  • Turn left onto Udyog Vihar Phase V

Driving time: 45 - 60 minutes

  • Exit the railway station, head south, turn left towards Minto Road/Swami Vivekananda Marg

  • Use any lane to turn left onto Connaught Circus
  • After crossing Khadi India, turn left
  • After 1 km, at Gol Dak Khana roundabout, take the third exit and stay on Baba Kharak Singh Marg
  • At the second roundabout on Baba Kharag Singh Marg, take the third exit onto Mother Teresa Crescent, continue straight to stay on Mother Teresa Crescent for 2 km
  • Turn right onto Sardar Patel Marg
  • Continue straight to stay on the National Highway 48 for 1 km
  • Turn left, staying on the NH48, continue for 10.5 km
  • Take the slip road heading towards Ambience Mall

  • Exit BPTP Towers, take a right turn towards lane number 7. Continue for 1.2 km

  • Exit the KPMG office tower and take a right towards DLF tower 10th Road
  • Stay on the right side of the road passing Cyber Hub on your right
  • Turn left from under the flyover heading towards Delhi

Immigration

CUSTOMS ALLOWANCES

Currency

Visitors of Indian origin and foreigners aged above 10 years who reside in India can carry INR 45,000 (when the country of origin is Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar or China, the currency allowance is INR 6,000)

International visitors (over 18 years) from every other country can carry USD 10,000 or the value of USD 5,000 in other currencies, per person into India.

Duty Free Goods

Duty free allowances per person (over the age of 18) are as follows:

  • Alcohol: 2 litres
  • Cigarettes: 100 pieces
  • Cigars: 25 pieces
  • Tobacco: 125g

Passengers aged over 18 can also carry one laptop computer.

Customs duty is leviable at 36.05% on the valuable of dutiable goods in excess of the allowance.

Restricted Items

The following items are prohibited in India:

  • Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances;
  • Goods violating any of the legally enforceable intellectual property rights;

WEATHER IN GURGAON

Gurgaon, Delhi National Capital Region, is known for its cool winters, hot, dry summers and humid monsoon season.

Winter lasts from December to February, during which time temperatures can drop to 34°F (1°C), but most often hover around 46 °F (8°C). Winters are known as the best time to visit this region.

Summers last from May to September, with peak temperatures reaching 117°F (47°C) in June. By July, the monsoon sets in, and an average rainfall of 470 millimetres falls between July and August. Temperatures at this time reach around 95 °F (35 °C).

Autumn (October to November) and spring temperatures (March to April) are very similar, ranging between 72 °F and 82 °F (22°C and 28°C).

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING

If you are travelling to Gurgaon during the summer months, we recommend you wear loose clothing made from natural fabrics. During the winter months, you may wish to carry a sweater or shawl for the evenings.

LANGUAGE

English is widely spoken in India. Staff at the airport, hotels, restaurants and shops will most often be fluent in English.

Hindi is the official and most widely spoken native language in India. It is most concentrated in the northern states. Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada prevail in the south.
