Policies

Taxes

The nightly room rate mentioned is per room per night. Applicable Government taxes and other levies are additional. Taxes may change as per the applicable government guidelines.

Currently the following taxes are applicable:

For nightly room rates above INR 7,500 - 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST)

For nightly room rates upto INR 7,500 - 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST)

GST Identification Number holders can apply for tax input credit. To avail this credit please share, at the time of reservation your Company's GSTIN number and registered address.

Indirect taxes are governed by the GST Act of India. The place of supply will be the city where the hotel is located.

According to Income tax Rules, cash payments above INR 100,000/- require PAN card identification. Cash payment of INR 2,00,000/- or more will not be accepted as per Section 186 of the Income Tax Act 2025.

 

Check-In and Check-Out Policy

Standard check-in time is 14:00 hours.

If you are arriving early in the morning and wish to have the room available upon arrival, we recommend reserving the room from the night prior. Otherwise, early check-in is subject to availability at the time of arrival.

Standard check-out time is 12:00 hours.

If you plan to check out later in the evening, we recommend booking an additional night to ensure room availability until your departure. Late check-out is otherwise subject to availability.

 

Identification Requirement

As per government regulations, all guests are required to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in. This must be an original, government-issued photo ID. Proof of identity is required for children as well.

For Indian residents, acceptable forms of ID include:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhaar Card

For foreign nationals, a passport and valid Indian visa are mandatory.

 

Reservation guarantee policy

All bookings must be guaranteed at the time of reservation. Guarantee can be done by a Credit Card, Advance Payment or approved Travel Agency. The hotel reserves the right to release non-guaranteed reservations.

 

Guarantee options

  • Request for a payment link at the time of reservation. You may pay the room charges in advance using a secure online payment link. This link is valid for major credit cards, debit cards and net banking. Once the advance payment is completed, your reservation will be guaranteed and we will hold your room until the time of your arrival.

  • Request for a credit card tokenisation link at the time of reservation. This link is valid for major credit cards, except American Express and Rupay cards. If you wish to use one of these cards, please write back to us and we will send you a different payment link. A nominal amount of INR 10 will be charged to validate your card number and will be refunded within 4 working days. Once card validation is completed, your reservation will be guaranteed and we will hold your room until the time of your arrival. Please pay your entire stay charges directly at the hotel. Only in case of non-arrival or late cancellation, the applicable charges, including tax, will be charged on this card.

  • Bank transfer of advance payment to ICICI Bank in favour of 'EIH LIMITED-OBEROI'.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be cancelled without charge within the period specified for the applicable terms for your booking. Non-arrivals or cancellations received after the specified period will incur the stated retention charges, including applicable taxes. The validated credit card provided at the time of booking will be charged accordingly. Please note that cancellation terms may vary for certain dates, rates and room categories.

For partners with contracts, including travel agents, companies, and affiliated individuals, the terms outlined in the specific agreement with Oberoi Hotels will take precedence over the general policy listed below. Please review your contract for the applicable cancellation policy and retention charges carefully at the time of booking.

  • Guaranteed reservation may be cancelled 2 days prior to the date of arrival. Reservations, cancelled within 2 days of arrival date will incur a cancellation fees equivalent to accommodation charge of entire length of stay.
  • Reservations made under the “Advance Purchase Rate” category are non-refundable
22nd December, 2026 – 3rd January, 2027
  • Guaranteed reservation may be cancelled 14 days prior to the date of arrival. Reservations, cancelled within 14 days of arrival date will incur a cancellation fees equivalent to accommodation charge of entire length of stay.
  • Reservations made under the “Advance Purchase Rate” category are non-refundable

Child Policy

Child Accomodation Policy

Up to two children under 12 years' age can be accommodated in the parents' room, with one extra bed at no additional charge. Please state your request for extra bed at the time of booking as not all room categories can accommodate an extra bed.

If a child is above 12 years of age, a separate room will be required at the parent's applicable room rate. (An extra bed shall not be provided for anyone over 12 years of age.)

Should you wish to take a separate room for children below 12 years age, we are pleased to offer the same at 50% price of the parents' room (subject to adequate availability in the same category). The offer is not applicable from 19th December, 2026 to 03rd January, 2027.

Child Meal Policy

Meals for children aged up to six are complimentary when dining from the restaurant buffet. For children aged six to twelve, meals are charged at 50% of the parent's meal plan rate. Meals for children above twelve are charged at full price. À la carte meals and In-Room Dining orders will be charged as per the menu.

 

Smoking

Smoking is permitted only within smoking rooms and in designated smoking areas. Please let us know if you wish to reserve a smoking room.
