The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra is located just 600 meters from the greatest monument to love – the Taj Mahal. Spread over nine acres of elaborate gardens, terraced lawns, fountains, reflection pools and pavilions, the classical design of the luxury hotel is a tribute to the legacy of Moorish and Mughal architecture, accentuating awe-inspiring vistas of the most exquisite mausoleum in the world.
Drawing on the rich heritage and expertise of local craftsmen, the hotel’s interiors reflect the refined aesthetics of the Mughal era that reached its zenith during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan. Intricate filigree and marble inlay work, jaali screens, gold thread and bead embroidery, wood carvings and hand-woven tapestries, showcase the rich arts and crafts of the region.
