    Discovery Shopping Mall

    Discovery Shopping Mall is located in the Bali beach resort of Kuta and boasts direct beach access. It has more than 150 retail local, national, Asian and western retail outlets selling clothes, make up, children’s wear and entertainment, electronics, jewellery, food and beverages. Each to reach on foot or in a private vehicle from The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali, and many other Bali hotels and Bali resorts, Discovery Shopping Mall is one of the best places to visit in Bali for shopping.

    Mall Bali Galeria

    Mal Bali Galeria prides itself on its cleanliness and hygiene. There is also a cinema that shows western films. Not one of the most popular places to visit in Bali for guests at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali, but worth a peek if you would like to sample more local and Asian flavours.

    Seminyak Village

    Seminyak Village not only stocks international high street brands, but features clothes, jewellery and artworks by top local and national artisans who pride themselves on using natural products, indigenous designs and keeping traditions alive by adding a contemporary twist to Balinese icons. Well worth a visit if you are staying at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali. Seminyak Village is within easy walking distance of our Bali beach resort.     Bali Swing

    There are now many Bali Swings around the island, but the original and still most popular of places to visit in Bali is that in Ubud. Here, you can try swings at 10 metres, 15 metres, 20 metres and 78 metres above ground, depending upon your appetite for adventure. There are also opportunities to climb into giant manmade nests wedged high up between the branches of trees. These are reached via a ladder that is then removed so that in photos, you appear to have flown up there.     Bali Wake Park & Aqualand

    Bali Wake Park & Aqualand is the first and only cable wake park in Bali. Built around a 50,000 square metres (12 acres) lake, it offers cable systems and obstacles for wakeboarders to have fun with. Those on honeymoons to Bali or thrill-seeking visitors can try wakeboarding or water skiing here.     Baluran National Park

    Baluran National Park is located on the eastern side of Java, making it an easy trip from neighbouring Bali. The park features Mount Baluran at its highest point. The terrain is largely savanna, lowland and mangrove forests, and gentle hills. Over 400 hundred plant species have been recorded in Baluran National Park, as well as over 150 bird species and almost 30 species of mammal. Many of which are endangered.     Mount Ijen

    Mount Ijen is a volcano in Java that is renowned for its acidic crater lake, sulphur mining and blue flame phenomenon. Due to the intense sulphur mining here, the huge azure crater lake at the top of the mountain is the largest and most acidic lake in the world. Also, due to gases released during the sulphur mining process, at night, huge blue flames can be seen shooting out of the top of the volcano, which has in recent years, spurred a rise in night-time treks to the area.     West Bali National Park

    West Bali (West Bali National Park) is comprised of savanna, rainforests, mangroves and beaches. Located approximately 100 kilometres from The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali, West Bali National Park is home to a huge range of plant, animal and bird species, including the endangered white Bali starling, for whose protection the park was originally founded. As well as exploring the terrain of the park, you can also try snorkelling and scuba diving here. There are large areas of protected coral reef and it is estimated, around 110 different species of coral.

    Monkey Forest

    At the last count there were over 1,000 Macaque monkeys living in the Monkey Forest, Ubud. Despite being well fed on sweet potato, bananas and other fruit and vegetables, the monkeys are always keen to try and swipe food from visitors, so be careful to keep your snacks, as well as sunglasses and cameras, safe. One of the very best Bali tourist places, the Monkey Forest is also remarkable for its lush green trees that tower over the Balinese Hindu temples and shrines below.     Bali Bird Park

    Bali Bird Park is home to 1,000 birds and 250 species. The expansive grounds feature eight different international habitats, including their indigenous plant life. The birds who live here include owls, parrots, hawks, eagles and hornbills from across Indonesia, South America and Borneo and Papua.     Pura Tirta Empul

    Pura Tirta Empul is a Balinese Hindu water temple, where devotees of Hinduism go for ritual bathing and purification. The temple was built around a natural water spring around 953 AD and consists of three parts: a front yard, central yard and inner yard. There are two pools and thirty showers. The water quality is reported to be good throughout. Pura Tirta Empul is one of the best places to visit in Bali for those interested in religion and spirituality.     Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang

    Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang is one of the six holiest places of worship in Bali, known in Balinese as Sad Kahyangan Jagad. The other pura or temples are placed according to sacred planning around the base of Mount Lempuyang. One also sits atop the holy mountain. Together, they are said to bring about spiritual balance. Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang sits 600 metres above sea level on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang. All six of the pura, or temples, pre-date other Hindu temples on the island.     Goa Lawah Temple

    Pura Goa lawah Temple is located in Klungkung and is one of the Sad Kahyangan Jagad or six holy temples that contribute to Bali’s spiritual balance. Pura Goa Iawah means bat cave temple, and indeed it takes its name from the bat cave it is built around. It was founded in the 11th century by one of the first Hindu priests in Bali.     Besakih Temple

    Pura Besakih Temple is one of the most popular places to visit in Bali. It casts a dramatic spell, perched high up on the slopes of the sacred Mount Agung. Pura Besakih is esteemed as the most important Hindu temple and has become one of the most well-known Bali tourist places. Pura Besakih is comprised of 23 interrelated temples which are arranged over six terraced levels connected by flights of stairs. All of which lead to the main spire.
