Between May and October, female Olive Ridley turtles come to lay their eggs at night on the stretch of beach in front of our resort. The Oberoi, Bali safeguards these eggs from predators by relocating the nests to a protected area within our grounds. After incubating for 45 to 50 days, the baby turtles begin to hatch.
We care for the hatchlings at our saltwater turtle sanctuary until they become strong swimmers; at which point we invite you to help us release them into the sea. We are proud to play a role in turtle conservation and hope you will enjoy a guided visit to the turtle sanctuary during your stay with us.
